Third character in my series of "Brawl That Could Have Been" drawings. This one is Krystal from Star Fox. Krystal was first introduced in Star Fox Adventures for the Gamecube and has appeared in the two sequential Star Fox games, Assault and Command. Even though she is new to the gaming world, she has developed a rather amazing fanbase (receiving 3 votes on Sakurai's list along with Takamaru, Cpt. Olimar, and Toon Link). Before the character roster was released, many Krystal fans were hopeful she would be playable after the announcement by her voice actor, Alesia Glidewell, that she would be voicing her in in Brawl. However, she only appears as part of the dialogues in Fox's/Wolf's/Falco's secret taunts on the Lylat Cruise stage [link] . Even though she didn't make it in this time, Krystal would have made an interesting addition to the roster since, as stated before by Sakurai, there are not a lot of female fighters in the Smash series besides Samus/Zero Suit Samus, Peach, Zelda/Shiek, Nana of the Ice Climber duo, and Jigglypuff(?). In addition, she would have a very interesting moveset if she follows her design from Adventures (i.e. being the first staff-wielder ever in the Smash series).
For this design, I conglomerated her designs from all the games she's appeared and did a few updates to her look like what they did with Fox and Falco (i.e. the boots and visor). Her overall design is her look in Command when she's a Cornerian pilot (I believe, I haven't played Command), her color scheme is similiar to the one she had in Assault, and the staff and some designs on her clothes are from the ones she had in Adventures. The moveset I made up for her is also based mainly on Adventures.

B - Fire Blaster - shoots blasts of fire from her staff (similiar to the Cracker Launcher item but less powerful and faster)
B side - Ice Blaster - shoots a stream of ice from her staff (like the Ice Climber's B down)
B down - Ground Quake - sends out a shockwave through the ground blowing away enemies (like DK's B down but a powerful single blast)
B up - Rocket Boost - rockets upward using her staff in a gust of icy wind and freezes anyone she comes in contact with (like Fox's/Falco's/Wolf's B up except with Ice instead of fire/wind)
FS - LANDMASTER!!!!!!!! <--just kidding!
Krazoa Release (if it was made, probably one of the most fun Final Smashes ever.....for the user at least) - she releases Krazoa spirits from her body and they fly out and possess all opponents on screen causing poison damage and screwing up their controls for 15 seconds (e.g. their control stick will be reversed or something weird like that, so when they think they're running forward, they're actually running off the stage! Imagine the chaos!)

This drawing in particular took me a really long time to do since I wanted to kinda test the limits of my drawing program (MS Photodraw), so I tried to make this the best drawing I could. It might not be the best drawing of Krystal ever, but, here it is, for your viewing pleasure of what could have been for Brawl.
